At the February 21, 2023, Franklin County Board of Supervisors Regular Meeting, an increase to the tipping fee and tire disposal fees at the Franklin County Landfill was approved. The increase will affect those entities currently required by Code to pay for the disposal of specified solid waste. Effective May 1, 2023, the following fees shall be charged:
Landfill
- Tipping Fee - $50.00 per ton
Tire Disposal*
- Lawn Mower or ATV - $1.00 each
- Car/Light Truck - $4.00 each
- Semi-Truck & Trailers - $5.00 each
- Tractor or Heavy Equipment - $10.00 each
* Note: If rims are included on tires, there will be an extra charge of $3.00 per tire.
